The University of Southern Philippines Foundation is aiming for a multicultural education among its students. Since USPF has launched the campaign making USPF as a foreign-students friendly school, it has also become a hub for widening the horizon for multicultural education. In response to this aim, the Office for International Students and Special Programs (OISSP) organized a lecture-forum on Korean Language and Korean Literature on July 30, 2010 at the USPF Moot Court. It’s a rare opportunity for the school to have an international speaker. Professor Il Hoon Oh of University of Hamburg, Germany was invited to be the resource speaker of the topic. High School students and teachers, English teachers and students in college were also around to participate in an interactive activity. Professor Oh gave a rich background on Korean language and Literature. He invited some of his friends to give sample on Korean greetings and music. Korean myths were also portrayed to titillate the visual imagination of the participants. The lecture-forum was successful in its objective to provide short training lecture on Korean Language.
