BACHELOR OF ARTS IN POLITICAL SCIENCE

Mission Statement

The Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (BA PS) of the College of Arts and Sciences intellectualizes, humanizes and globalizes the academia in a synergy as it services all colleges through parallel general education foundation; provides pre- professional/professional training for advanced programs; discovers and creates new knowledge vital to the survival and advancement of civilization in a global age.

Course Description

A four-year degree program that centers on the study of the types of government, history and forms of political institutions, political behavior and political policies.

The important areas of study specializes on the Philippine politics, comparative politics, international relations, political theory and methodology, public administration, political dynamics, local and global governance and research in politics.

  1. Manifest a predisposition towards ethical political involvement and practice in various form and on different levels of engagement.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

Students in the discipline must exhibit the following competencies at the end of the undergraduate program. Graduates should be able to:

Program of Studies

Nature of the Field of Study.Graduates of the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (BA PS) may pursue a career path in government offices, non-government organizations, or private businesses. They may apply as a paralegal, public opinion researcher, corporate adviser for government relations, political consultant, or a professor.
